BESSEMER, MI-- A Bessemer man convicted of killing his elderly wife has been sentenced.
Kenneth Peters, 50, was given life in prison without the possibility of parole Wednesday in Gogebic County Circuit Court.
Peters was convicted May 1 of first- and second-degree murder and second-degree abuse of a vulnerable adult.
The body of his 79-year-old wife Ethel was found in Watersmeet Township last August.
Peters must also pay more than $3,000 in court costs.
