HOWELL, MI (AP)-- A man who shot at two-dozen vehicles along a southeastern Michigan highway corridor has been sentenced to 18 to 40 years on a combination of terrorism and weapons charges.
Raulie Casteel learned his fate Monday in Livingston County Circuit Court in Howell. The 44-year-old geologist from Wixom already is serving a sentence of more than 6 years in a related case in Oakland County.
The judge sentenced him Monday to a minimum of 16 years on the terrorism charge and two additional years on felony firearms charges.
Casteel was found guilty of terrorism in January by a Livingston County jury. The October 2012 shootings took place along Interstate 96 and connecting roads in four counties. No one was hurt.
