Kuopus sentenced for stalking, fleeing

HOUGHTON, MI--   A man who led Houghton Police on a high-speed chase in April has been sentenced. 

In a July deal Travis Kuopus, 27, pleaded guilty to fleeing a police officer and attempted stalking.  Charges of aggravated stalking and two counts of assaulting a police officer were dismissed. 

Wednesday Kuopus was sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 129 days already served.
