Forsyth Township man pleads to embezzling from vulnerable victim

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Gwinn man charged with taking money from a vulnerable adult has entered a plea in the case. 

Gary Vadnais, 49, was arrested August 22 and charged with embezzlement from a vulnerable adult, $1,000 or more but less than $20,000; possession of a financial transaction device; and illegal sale or use of a financial transaction device.

He was a court-appointed guardian of the victim when he allegedly diverted money for his own use.

Vadnais pleaded guilty Tuesday to embezzling from a vulnerable adult.

Sentencing is set for November 3 in Marquette County Circuit Court.
