MARQUETTE, MI-- Police continue to look into the death of a Marquette man stabbed Friday in the city.
Marquette Police say Brandon LaFavre, 21, was found dead around 1:45 a.m. at 2050 Wright Street, Apt. 7.
Ishpeming resident Derek Blemke, 24, was arrested in connection with the incident. He’s charged with open murder.
Officers were assisted by NMU Public Safety, Michigan State Police, the Michigan State Police Crime Lab, the Marquette City Fire Department, and UP Health System EMS.
