MARQUETTE, MI-- The Upper Peninsula Human Trafficking Task Force is giving presentations across the UP this week as part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
The task force has teamed up with the Department of Justice, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, UP law enforcement agencies, and other experts. Featured speakers will talk about signs to look for in both victims and traffickers, who can be a target of human trafficking, federal and state laws regarding human trafficking, and previous local and national cases.
There will be time for questions and answers after each presentation.
