Sadowski arrested for homicide in Munising death

MUNISING, MI--   An Ishpeming man acquitted of solicitation to commit murder charges two years ago is being held at the Alger County Jail in connection with the suspicious death of a Munising man.

The death occurred in the city on May 30, 2019.

The Alger County Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant for Jason Sadowski, 49, on Friday. He’s charged with homicide – open murder.

Sadowski was previously arrested for torture, solicitation of murder, unlawful imprisonment, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. He was found guilty and sentenced to 40 to 80 years in prison; however, Sadowski was retried following an appeal and acquitted of all charges.

He remains jailed without bond.
