HOUGHTON, MI-- A homicide suspect is being transferred from Houghton County to Milwaukee after officials discovered he gave a fake name.
The 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested June 27 on charges related to the distribution of crystal meth and heroin in Houghton. He gave a false name at the time of his arrest. He’s since been identified as a suspect wanted for homicide in Wisconsin.
Detectives from the Milwaukee Police Department have confirmed the suspect’s identity and are in the process of transporting him back to the city to face first degree reckless homicide.
The name of the suspect is being withheld.
