OTSEGO COUNTY, MI— A Forsyth Township man was arrested in Otsego County last week, after Michigan State Police found drugs in his car.
Thursday around 1:25 p.m., a trooper from the Gaylord Post stopped a vehicle with an expired Illinois registration on I-75 in Bagley Township. It was driven by Jason Carr, 51, of Gwinn, who did not have a valid driver’s license. His passenger said the car was rented by his girlfriend, but he was unable to produce a rental contract.
A Michigan State Police K9 was called in and indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Troopers found a small digital scale, a straw, glass pipe, butane lighter, and a tin containing a white crystalized substance that tested positive for meth.
Carr was arrested and arraigned on one count of possession of methamphetamine. He was given a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
