SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   The Lake Superior State University Board of Trustees has endorsed the selection of the school’s next president.

Rodney Hanley will become LSSU’s next leader no later than July 1. He comes from Fisk University in Nashville, having served as provost and vice president for academic affairs for the past four years.

The Board of Trustees voted to hire Hanley at a meeting in Sault Ste. Marie Friday. Peter Mitchell has served as interim president since the unexpected death of President Thomas Pleger in May.
