MARQUETTE, MI-- The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees has approved the 2020-2021 general fund operating budget.
The nearly $117.1 million budget is a 1 percent decrease from the previous year.
The university will invest in strategic initiatives previously authorized by the board. It will also increase its scholarships and fellowships by nearly 300-thousand dollars.
At their meeting last week trustees approved the NMU facilities five-year master plan, as required by the Department of Management and Budget’ and the fiscal year 2021 long-term maintenance project list.
