MARQUETTE, MI-- Voters in a portion of Marquette, Alger, Luce, and Schoolcraft counties have an important issue on Tuesday’s primary ballot.
They’ll vote in a special election for one of four Democrats competing for the chance to face Republican Rich Rossway in November for a partial term as Representative of Michigan’s 109th House District. The four include Sara Cambensy, Tom Curry, Jeremy Hosking, and Joe Derocha.
Rossway is the only Republican in the primary, so he automatically advances to the November ballot.
Whoever wins in November will serve out the remainder of Representative John Kivela’s term, which ends January 1 of 2019.
