Two U.P. Businesses to receive US Dept of Agriculture grants

Undated - The U-S Department of Agriculture has granted funds to 2-Upper Peninsula businesses for investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. ‘Bunches of Blessings’ in Baraga County will use its 9-thousand-975-dollar grant to purchase and install a 4-kilowatt photovoltaic (photo-vol-TAY’-ik) system. The project is expected to produce 4-thousand-952 kilowatt hours per year. And ‘Elmer's County Market’ in Delta County is getting an

857-thousand-878-dollar grant to purchase and install a 380-point-89 kilowatt roof-mount solar P-V system. The project will realize 28-thousand-679 dollars per year in savings. It will also replace more than 461-thousand kilowatt hours per year, which is enough energy to power 42-homes.
