Mine equipment move postponed to Friday night

ISHPEMING, MI— An equipment transport between Gladstone and the Tilden mine has been moved to Friday night.

The moving of large mine dump truck components was planned for Thursday night, but was postponed due to weather. The transport is weather-dependent.

The slow-moving haul rig will block lanes between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday on M-35, M-553, and Marquette County Road 480. The rig will be pulled over periodically so traffic can pass.

The Michigan Department of Transportation encourages motorists to avoid the area during the move.
