Property inspections start in Marquette Township

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   Marquette Township officials are trying to clean up the area.

Monday marks the beginning of property inspections by planning and zoning staff.  Due to some complaints officials will be looking for non-working vehicles and construction garbage on properties.

According to Township rules homeowners can only have one unlicensed vehicle on their land; appliances and couches cannot be left on the lawn; and grass and weeds must be kept under ten inches high.

Extreme cases could result in a ticket.
