MARQUETTE, MI— This year’s Classic Cars on Third in Marquette will continue to benefit the Women’s Center.
Bill and Tammy Dupras started the event six years ago in honor of Tammy’s daughter, Jessica Drummond, who was murdered in a domestic violence incident. They and her stepsister host the annual car show in her memory and donate the proceeds to the Women’s Center.
Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Third Street between Hewitt and Park streets will be closed off. More than 200 classic cars from around the Great Lakes region are expected to be on display.
There will be a number of opportunities to donate to the Women’s Center during the event. All money will go toward Center programs that assist survivors and their families affected by domestic violence.
