MARQUETTE, MI-- The United Way of Marquette County is off and running with a goal to raise $400,000 during this year’s campaign.
The organization works with 24 partner agencies, like the Alzheimer’s Association, Dial Help, and Marquette County Habitat for Humanity.
United Way Executive Director Andrew Rickauer says giving to the United Way helps your friends, neighbors and coworkers.
“So many people are affected. Last year over 16,000 people were impacted from programs that were funded by the United Way,” he says.
Residents can help with the fundraising effort by donating through work campaigns or by going online to uwmqt.org.
All money raised stays in Marquette County. Once the campaign ends community volunteers will decide which programs will be funded and how much.
