Another crash reported at Marquette Township intersection

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   No serious injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash in Marquette Township over the weekend.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was called Sunday around 1:15 p-m to the intersection of US-41 West and Brickyard Road. They say a Buick LeSabre driven by a 57-year-old Ishpeming woman failed to yield to westbound traffic and turned north onto Brickyard Road. She struck a westbound Ford Edge driven by a 38-year-old Ishpeming woman. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

Two occupants of the Edge were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the Buick was cited for failure to yield.

The crash remains under investigation.
