Lake Superior ice conditions near Grand Island weak

Munising, Mich - The Alger County Sheriff’s Office is warning about ice conditions on Lake Superior near Grand Island. Ice conditions on the east side of Grand Island near and around the east channel lighthouse is in very poor condition. The area is also known as the Grand Island Ice Caves. The Alger County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public not to venture out on the ice.
