Minivan bursts into flames following Marquette crash

MARQUETTE, MI— A two-vehicle accident led to a van fire in Marquette Tuesday.

The Marquette Fire Department was dispatched around 4:15 p.m. to the intersection of Presque Isle Avenue and Waldo Street. Firefighters were notified smoke was coming from one of the vehicles.

When the crew arrived, they found the engine compartment of a minivan fully engulfed.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.

The Marquette Police Department, NMU Public Safety, and UPHS-Marquette assisted at the scene.
