Celebrating 25 years of music with the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, with a return to Kaufman Auditorium

The Marquette Symphony Orchestra has a lot to celebrate.

For 25 years, they've provided live, orchestral music to the Marquette region. This year, they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary as an orchestra, as well as a return to in-person concerts in the Kaufman Auditorium. On October 9th, 2021, the MSO returns with a concert, celebrating "25 Years Orbiting Music," with music of Missy Mazzoli and Ludwig van Beethoven.

We spoke with the principal conductor, Octavio Más-Arocas, about what he's looking forward to as conductor, the excitement of the orchestra, and the music they will present.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
