The Marquette Symphony Orchestra kicks off 2024 with a viola soloist and the music of Walton and Price

A talk with conductor and music director Octavio Más-Arocas and soloist Jay Julio about the January 20th concert

The Marquette Symphony Orchestra continues its 2023-24 season on Saturday, January 20th with the music of William Walton and Florence Price.

Youth Concerto Winner and Julliard-trained Jay Julio will join the MSO for a performance of William Walton's Viola Concerto, followed by a performance of Florence Price's Symphony No. 3 in C Minor. The weekend of the concert also includes a Viola Master Class on the campus of Northern Michigan University on Friday, January 19th and a Viola Recital at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Sunday, January 21st.
