Snyder travels U.P.

MANISTIQUE, MI--   Governor Rick Snyder is touring the Upper Peninsula this week. 

The Governor made a stop at Manistique Papers Monday, then held a town hall discussion with employees and the community. 

At 5:30 p.m. Central he’ll head to Menominee for a town hall meeting there. 

On Tuesday Snyder is scheduled to discuss issues with local officials during a round table meeting in Iron Mountain at 8 a.m., and at noon he’ll speak with area residents at a town hall meeting at Bay West Community College.  At 2:45 p.m. Central Time the Governor will tour the Oldenburg Group facility in Iron River and wrap things up at 5:30 p.m. with a town hall discussion at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
