If I could turn back time...

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette Fire Department is reminding residents to turn back time this weekend.

Eastern Standard time arrives Sunday at 2 a.m., when clocks should be turned back one hour.

Department officials say the annual Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery campaign also reminds residents to put new batteries in their smoke detectors.  They say working smoke detectors double the chances of surviving a house fire.

This year, Energizer Battery sent the Marquette Fire Department three cases of 9-volt batteries.  Each household will be given one as long as supplies last.

Call 225-8936 or stop by the fire department on Third Street.
