Three men rescued from the Presque Isle breakwater

Marquette - Three men are safe after being rescued from the Presque Isle breakwater. According to WLUC-TV, the men allegedly trespassed the breakwater's locked gate Saturday and walked out onto the rocks.

The Coast Guard rescued them with their 45-foot boat and a small ice rescue boat.

Waves were four-to-five feet high, making it tough to get the bigger boat close to the rocks.

Once the three were safe on-board the bigger coast guard boat, they were taken to shore, where they were arrested by Marquette Police.

The three men were charged with ‘disorderly conduct while intoxicated,’ a misdemeanor, and jailed.

Their names and hometowns are not being released by police at this time.

If found guilty, they could get 90 days in jail and/or a fine.
