Morning fire in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI--   Fire has damaged an Escanaba home.

WLUC-TV reports the fire broke out early Friday morning on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue.  Apparently a couch caught fire, and flames spread through the first floor.  It took firefighters 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

Officials say two adults and a dog were able to escape the blaze.

The house sustained fire, smoke, and water damage, but no injuries are reported.
