Cause of Iron Mountain fire released

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Officials have released the cause of the fire that killed an Iron Mountain man last week.  

The blaze began early in the morning on January 16 at a home on South Milwaukee Avenue.  Robert Davis, 66, died of smoke inhalation. 

The Michigan State Police Fire Marshal says the fire was caused by an electrical issue in the home.  Officials have concluded their investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
