Police search for missing Escanaba woman

ESCANABA, MI--   Escanaba Public Safety officers are looking for a woman reported missing from an adult foster home. 

Police say Jean Marie Lawrence, 56, was last seen February 6 around 8 p.m. on the 500 block of South 22nd Street.

Lawrence is described as a white female with blue eyes and shoulder-length auburn hair with gray roots.  She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black denim jeans

with holes, and white shoes. 

Officials say Lawrence has a history of mental illness and may appear frail and disoriented.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
