MARQUETTE, MI-- Dickinson and Marquette counties held special elections for various proposals Tuesday.
In Marquette County residents voted to renew .4965 mills over five years for operation of the Forsyth Township ambulance. The vote was 305 Yes to 78 No. And voters in the Gwinn School District approved a renewal of 19.1209 mills over 20 years for operations. The result was 349 Yes to 137 No.
In Dickinson County a proposal of .4 mills for three years to operate and equip 911 services passed, 1,653 Yes to 876 No. And a $9.5 million bond proposal for Iron Mountain school facility improvements passed, 654 Yes to 571 No.
