UPDATE (2 p.m.): Offices at the Peninsula Medical Center in Marquette have reopened, after a fire in the basement forced the building’s evacuation Thursday morning.
Officials say the fire—which was reported around 7:50 a.m.—was confined to a storage area. It was extinguished before it could cause any structural damage, but smoke spread throughout the building.
