State Police investigating explosion and fire in Stambaugh Township

STAMBAUGH TOWNSHIP - State Police from the Iron Mountain post are investigating a fire at a seasonal home in Stambaugh Township. Troopers responded to a report of an explosion in the area of Scott Lake Road and Groulx Lane at about 3:30 central time this morning. The explosion was determined to be a structure fire at a seasonal home at 137 Scott Lake Road. No one was at home at the time of the explosion and the building and its contents are considered to be a total loss. No injuries were reported. The Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the origin of the fire.
