Coffee with a Cop in the Copper Country

HOUGHTON, MI--   Law enforcement in the Keweenaw wants to meet with the public Friday.

Coffee with a Cop is being held at the Suomi Restaurant in Houghton.  Residents can talk to troopers from the Calumet Post, deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, officers from the Houghton and Hancock Police Departments, and officers from Michigan Tech’s Public Safety Department.

Officials say the event will let citizens and police come together in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues.

Coffee with a Cop begins at 8 a.m.  For more information, call 337-5145.
