Lakeshore Boulevard to reopen

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette City Commission will use $45,000 from a road repair fund to temporarily fix and reopen Lakeshore Boulevard.

The road between Hawley and Wright streets has been closed since a September storm flooded the area and chewed up the asphalt.  Commissioners say residents want the scenic stretch reopened as soon as possible.

Lakeshore Boulevard could reopen by the end of this month.  Officials stress the fix is short-term, although a more permanent fix will be very expensive.
