Fire damages Marquette business

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette pottery shop has been damaged by fire.

The Marquette Fire Department was called Saturday night to Risak Pottery on Island Beach Road at Presque Isle Park.  Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the kiln workshop.  It only took about ten minutes to bring the fire under control, but there was heavy damage to the workshop.  The showroom sustained minimal damage.

No injuries are reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
