Iron Mountain Post serving as drug drop-off site

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Residents can now dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs any time at the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.

A collection container will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., excluding holidays.  No appointment is needed.

Liquids, aerosol inhalers, patches, and syringes will not be accepted.

The Michigan State Police has partnered with the Livingston County Community Alliance to place drug collection barrels inside each of its 29 posts.

The service is free and anonymous.
