BOULDER JUNCTION, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a Florida man who fell overboard while fishing in a northern Wisconsin lake.
The Vilas County sheriff's office says the body of 62-year-old Charles Armitage of Mount Dora, Florida, was recovered about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The sheriff's office got a 911 call about a drowning on White Sand Lake in Boulder Junction Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say Armitage was fishing with his brother when he fell overboard.
The victim was not wearing a life jacket.
