Fire snuffed out at former Marquette flower shop

MARQUETTE, MI--   A fire broke out in the old Forsberg Flowers building on Third Street in Marquette Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the cause of the fire that started in the attic’s insulation was likely electrical.  A worker inside the building heard a fire alarm and called 911.

Only minor damage was reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
