UPDATE: Woman critically injured in traffic accident in Skandia

UPDATE:  The woman whose car hit the bank truck, Donna Jaksic, 66, of Escanaba, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.  State Police say she was not wearing a safety belt.  Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Skandia, MI - A 67-year old woman is injured following a crash with a bank truck in Skandia. 

  According WLUC-TV, the accident happened Thursday at the intersection of US-41 and Dukes Road.

The Marquette County Road Commission was doing road work in the area and had the GARDA bank truck stopped when the car crashed into it.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to U.P. Health System Marquette where she was listed in critical condition.

None of the occupants of the bank truck were injured in the accident, which remains under investigation.
