Search continues for missing Iron River man

IRON RIVER, MI--   Iron River Police and the FBI are searching for a resident reported missing a year ago.

WLUC-TV reports officials are focusing on the Caspian Pit in connection with the disappearance of Christopher Regan, 53, who was last seen October 16 of 2014.  His vehicle was found in a park-and-ride at the corner of Bates/Amasa Road and US-2 the next day.

Investigation at the pit began Tuesday.  A net and buoys are in the water, and officials have been seen going into the water with waders.  The FBI says nothing of interest has yet been found.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Iron River Police at 265-4321 or the FBI in Marquette at 226-2058.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
