BIG BAY, MI-- Officials have found the truck of a L’Anse veteran reported missing last month.
WLUC-TV says Joseph Waisanen, 33, was last seen March 20 when he left his mother’s house in his pickup truck. His mother says he has PTSD and manic depressive episodes.
Waisanen’s truck was found over the weekend near 40 Foot Falls in the woods of the Huron Mountains. It had apparently gotten stuck in mud and Waisanen blew out the transmission trying to free it.
A Michigan State Police Aviation Unit is assisting Marquette County Search and Rescue in the search for Waisanen about 12 miles outside of Big Bay.
