abc10up.com

Sawyer, MI - One man is injured following an explosion at a building in Sawyer. According to ‘ABC 10 News,’ emergency responders were dispatched just before 9am today (Monday) to the building on 3rd Street where a volunteer fireman found a victim lying on the ground outside the burning structure and pulled him to safety. He was taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of his injuries. The fire in the building was extinguished by firefighters. Officials say marijuana was being grown in the building. A state fire investigator and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called in to investigate the incident. The building is considered a total loss, and a nearby building also suffered damage from the explosion.
