MORAN, MI-- A portion of a Department of Natural Resources ORV trail in Mackinac County has washed out.
Officials say it was caused by significant recent rainfall and beaver activity.
The washout is on the St. Ignace to Trout Lake route, about a mile north of the village of Moran. Officials tried to fix it, but high water volume and stream flow has made it impossible to continue until the water goes down. The speed of repairs will be entirely weather-dependent.
