PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, MI-- The search continues for a missing hunter in Houghton County.
Friday afternoon Sheriff’s deputies were notified that Rodney Granroth, 71, went hunting sometime Thursday in the area of Tapiola Road and Kallungi Road in Portage Township, but never returned.
The area was searched over the weekend by Superior Search and Rescue, family members, Houghton County Search and Rescue personnel, the Otter Lake Fire Department, Baraga Search and Rescue, the Salvation Army, and community members.
Anyone with information as to Granroth’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 482-0055.
