Power out in parts of Marquette County

MARQUETTE, MI--   Some areas of Marquette County are currently experiencing a power outage.  

Chocolay and Skandia Townships are most affected by power disruption.  The cause of the outage is unknown at this time and power company employees are working to locate the problem and restore electricity as soon as possible. 

At this time, there is a warming center set up at the Chocolay Township Fire Department.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
