Homeowner repair and rehab money given to Mackinac County

MACKINAC COUNTY, MI--   Mackinac County is benefiting from grants given out by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. 

The HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) grants will allow home rehabilitation and repair projects to move forward. 

HOME of Mackinac County is getting $80,000 to complete three projects within the city of St. Ignace, St. Ignace Township and Moran Township.

HOME is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development program that helps build, buy, or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or ownership, often in partnership with local nonprofit groups.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
