CHASSELL, MI-- Road repair work begins Thursday on US-41 in Houghton County.
Drivers should expect 24-hour lane closures under flag control near Chassell. The project extends from North Entry Road to Seventh Street in Chassell.
The Department of Transportation says night work is necessary to allow curing time for concrete patches and to reduce the total time the highway is reduced to one lane. The operation is expected to continue through July 22.
The work is part of a $2.8 million investment in six miles of roadway at various locations on US-41, US-45, and M-26 in Ontonagon and Houghton counties.
