MARQUETTE, MI-- Marquette’s winter parking ban begins Wednesday.
Off-street parking must be found between the hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. every day. Violation of the ban will result in a $75 fine.
City Police are reminding residents that front yard parking is prohibited unless authorization is given by the Community Development Office. Front yard parking without prior approval is subject to a $50 ticket.
Also prohibited is parking in the right of way, unless authorized by city police. A violation of that ordinance could result in a $50 fine.
And residents are reminded that depositing snow onto any city-owned property—like sidewalks, streets, and the right of way—is a violation of the city ordinance.
