MARQUETTE, MI-- The D. J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette is now accepting donations for the holiday season.
James Redford is the Michigan Veterans Affairs director. He says in this time of giving, many residents ask how they can donate to the vets. Redford says items that men and women commonly need are sweatpants and shirts, undergarments, and velcro shoes, as well as toiletries like soap, shampoo and conditioner, razors and shaving cream, and denture adhesives. Other items typically donated include batteries, postage stamps, large-print books, magazines, CD, and DVDs.
The Jacobetti Donation Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
