Presque Isle Avenue rehab begins next week

MARQUETTE, MI--   The first phase of the Presque Isle Avenue reconstruction project in Marquette starts Tuesday.

It includes the eastern half of the roadway, from Wright Street to a point south of Center Street. The western half will be open to two-way traffic. This is the first of four phases, and is expected to last four weeks.

Truck traffic will be detoured throughout the project. Businesses in the area will remain open and patrons will have access to them.

A phasing schematic can be found on the City of Marquette Engineering Division web page under the Presque Isle Avenue Reconstruction Project link at marquettemi.gov.
