Portion of CR 601 in Marquette County washed out

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette County Road Commission has closed a road in Humboldt Township because it’s washed out.

County Road 601 about a mile north of County Road 478 at the crossing of the Black River is closed until further notice. Officials say they have to wait until the water recedes before they replace the structure.

County Road 601 also remains closed 1.7 miles south of County Road 478 due to a culvert project at the crossing of Bruce Creek. The only outlet between the two closures is County Road 478.

For more information call the Road Commission at 486-4491.
